EL QUE CONVOCA
documentary project
The elders from Shaullo, tell that in certain specific dates, the mountain named Qayaqpuma calls other mountains from far away, that is why they call it "the one who calls"
"Qayaq, Qayaq! he says, come, come!"
From the depth of time, the rocks awake to balance how the universe works.
In the middle of chaos, life rises.
The stars look at the earth with melancholy, and the rock understands its origin.
There is no time here, old prays call for the rain, sun and wind for life to florish, loudly and silently.
"El que convoca" (the one who calls) is a web doc, currently in process that narrates the work being developed in the Qayaqpuma mountain since 2012.
Including several interviews and conversations with Alfredo Mires, José Isabel and José Rodríguez, important advocates who have been working for the protection of the mountain.
It will also include a virtual museum along with technical descriptions of several archaeolocial pieces, recovered by the mountain inhabitants.
Finally, the web will gather videos and photos of the art workshops developed in the community.
